With our independent network, you don’t need to worry about coordinating a same-day switch. You can keep both services running at the same time to ensure there’s no downtime during the transition.
Switching to FibreNova is simple and involves just 3 easy steps:
1. Review Your Contract
Before making the move, it’s a good idea to check your current contract with Virgin. This will help you understand your contract end date and any potential cancellation fees. You can do this in one of two ways:
- Call Virgin at 0800 276 1162 (available Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 23:00, and Saturday to Sunday, 08:00 - 20:00)
- Log in to your My Virgin Media account and select “View Contract” to see the details of your agreement.
2. Order Your FibreNova Package
Now, let’s get to the fun part! We offer a range of packages, with speeds from 150 to 900 Mbps, all with symmetrical upload and download speeds.
Once you’ve selected your ideal package, we’ll reach out to arrange your installation at a time that suits you. It’s that easy!
3. Give Your Notice
If you're still under contract with Virgin, you’ll need to give 30 days' notice. You can do this by calling them or logging into your My Virgin Media account. If your current package includes extra services (like sports channels), check whether you can keep those with your new FibreNova plan.
If you’re within your minimum contract period, you may be charged ‘exit’ fees. Be sure to review your Terms & Conditions for more details. However, you may be able to avoid these fees if you’ve been facing slow speeds, price increases, or unresolved service complaints.
Important: To ensure a seamless transition, we recommend waiting until your FibreNova service is fully installed before canceling anything with Virgin.
